I'm working on a sword and need to find a company that can heat treat it for me I tried two company's so far and one can't do blades over 22 inches and the other won't return my email. Does anyone have any recommendations? the blade is S7 tool steel that is 3/8 thick and 36 inches long. any help would be appreciated!

Peter's Heat Treating will do S7 up to 44 inches, so unless you have a massive handle, you will be fine. however, it will cost you an arm and a leg.

It would not be my choice of steel, but S7 could be hardened in the forge. You pump the sword back and forth like you do for a katana.
austenitize at about 1650-1700°F and quench in oil or air cool. Temper at 425-450°F.
