Heat treatment of carbon V?

Anyone have a procedure. For heat treating carbon V? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was kinda wondering the same thing. Wasn't that some steel made exclusively for Cold Steel? I'd like some if you know where to get it....

Or did you mean Crucible's Cru-Forge V?

I wondered about this too, but

He likely has a Cold Steel blank that became available from the Camillus auction.



If you search, you may find the steel type identified, then you can get the HT info searching on the proper trade name.

12345678910 is exactly right. Its a SRK blank from Camillus. I got it on ebay from tactical edge solutions. I'm very new to knife making and thought it would be a good way to get some practice. I've read that it is like 52100 with 1/3 the chromium.
