Heat treatment? Shanghai Bole vacuum heat treatment

I can’t tell you what Shanghai Bole is but large batch heat treating of knives is often done in “vacuum furnaces” meaning they operate under vacuum to avoid exposure to oxygen at high temperature.

thought bohler was a European company is the heat treatment different? Same standard?

It sounds like you answered your own question in the portions I highlighted. But maybe you should call or send them an email if you're not convinced that they will maintain the same standard you've come to expect.

No agenda, just trying to figure out if M390 miroclean is same a M390 before a purchase
probly no big deal
