I just finished this guy up after working on it off and on for a month--the last of the three machetes I started with in this thread. The following modifications were made:
1) Ugly and hollow plastic scales removed and replaced with polished marine-grade teak.
2) Scales flushed to the tang, and shaped for comfort.
3) Spine and ricasso squared.
4) Partial back edge ground at the point for cutting grasses, brambles, and targets of like kind.
5) Hand-convexed edges produced on both forward and partial back edges (sliced myself twice in the process!)
6) Slip-Plate Graphite Coating applied to blade surface.
Without further ado, here are the pics!
Asking $70, PayPal fees on me, plus actual shipping. I will ship internationally, but the purchaser assumes all responsibility for the legality of the item in their country.
This is a compact machete, with a ~14" blade, but the mass of this thing is incredible! A very packable piece that hits hard for the size.
