Eric sent me a 7" blade for a little T&E, or actually, a lot!

That knife absolutely rocked. One of the most versatile blades I've ever used.

I even did a couple things with it that should've snapped the blade, and it didn't even flinch! One of those things was batoning it into a tree and jumping up on it hard, to use as an "emergency shooting step." LOL! Not that I'd pick that method for real, but it was fun in terms of knife abuse, AND I got to shoot my AR-15...

:D

Coming shortly to a forum near you...

Best,

Brian.

Look for it by later today or tomorrow -- as soon as I get a bunch of work items out of the way, and get over the writers' block I've been having!

Best,

~B.

It's remarkable that Fehrman and Busse knives are so similar in appearance. Here are examples...

Is this similarity because this specific design works real well?

The drop point blade flat ground blade, originated and made popular by Bob Loveless, remains one of the best and most-tested all-around basic blade designs to this day. A lot of outdoors knives have the design because it works!

Dave, if I may ask, how is your son doing? I remember your post awhile back, and just thought I'd check in.

Best,

Brian.

PS Really -- I'm almost there with the review -- putting out fires and all sorts of other stuff right now.

Brian, thanks for asking. He's 100+ days after the marrow transplant, and is going well. I hope to have him back home sometime in December.

Meanwhile, his scrubs are too big.

Great to her he's doing so well. I'll continue to say prayers.
