Hello Folks
I’m wondering if the HC will just be a MC with thicker stock or if other differences will be present.
I for one would not mind a wider blade than on the MC
I feel that it would make for a more powerful chopper than even my busse FBM

Any thoughts on this?

The MC was derived from the HC concept. It is an intelligent and optimized high performance knife based on the original overbuilt HC.

The HC will be an MC with thicker bevels and edge thickness similar to the original HC prototypes. It isn't an optimized high performance design, it's an indestructible knife more like an agricultural implement than a racecar and will be a limited run for knuckleheads (like myself) that tends to break shit. It will not be a standard pattern but if there is enough interest I'll add some to the run one time.

Count me in for 1:cool: (Maybe 2) I prefer the Medium over the light Chopper!
Hell the Shiv is .235 at the Ricasso! .26 IS NOT TO THICK for me!:D

I have one and love it! Hits with authority. I don't bring it out much since there is no sheath for it, which is a problem that I'm currently rectifying. Then it's time for Wrecktifying!

I’m in ! I like to wreck stuff !
It would be awesome if a kydex sheath with a dangler could be an option
If I was you, I would get both the MC and HC! The CPK MC to me, is what I always wanted to see in a "Light Chopper" package ! 10 Inch Blade, with .220 thickness (More durability-Tougher) and weighing in at ONLY 20.6 ounces, the HC should weigh in at 23 ounces or so with a .260 thickness and 10 inch Blade !
By Comparison a Busse CGFBM (10 inch length) with .250 thickness weighs in at approximately 27.4 ounces, and the Busse FBM LE (also 10 inch blade) with .312 thickness weighs 30 ounces!
The CPK BC with a 12 inch blade and .250 Thickness only weighs in at 24.5 ounces How does the Evil Genius accomplish this?

Hope this Helps;)

But weight also adds to power while chopping so it’s not necessarily a bad thing...

I noticed that choppers with thinner blades tend to bind in wood more.

This is true-No Doubt, but at what Price? If your doing a lot of chopping what is better? A heavy chopper that "bites" deeper but weighs more (Fatigue), or a lighter Chopper that you can "Chop" longer with? (Shrug)
