Could anyone help me find a source for desert camo cordura, straps, and whatnot and whathaveyou? I have looked all over the web, all I can find is 500 denier and I was hopeing for much heavier. I have a Camelback assault, and I usually carry two fillet knives and a machete when I go fishing. I would like to make sheaths out of cordura and kydex, I have a singer walkingfoot which was used to sew truck tarps and hang glider harnesses, so it should work, and I have made kydex sheathsin the past. Also, Im going to make a push button retention system, if it works ok, I,ll post it. If it works great, I,ll sell the design. ;) Also, has anyone had a knife coated in a camo coating? Are then any problems with finish, or expense? Any info is greatly appreciated, I,ll keep looking myself. Respectfully, Levi

Somewhere on this forum is a photo posted for me of a sheath I made of Cordura nylon.First I made a liner of thin polyethylene or polypropylene just covering the blade . Then I covered it with 1000 denier [11 oz] cordura nylon. I think all of this heavy weight stuff is coated with polyurethane.I got it a few years back at Seattle Fabrics. They have various fabrics, straps etc.

Here's a place(Beacon Fabrics) second one down with 1000 denier. Don't know if they have the camo you want, but I'm sure they could get it.

Edited to add; you'll have to scroll down the index to "camouflage fabric"(nylon),
and further down, "cordura nylon"(nylon fabrics).
I can't get a direct link to that part.

Incidentally, here's a search engine that's much better than google, plus, it's not anti gun, anti knife. http://ixquick.com/eng/
