A customer order produced this heavy duty field knife. It's D2, 3/16" thick with a 1 1/2" wide blade that's 5 1/2" long with a convex grind. A heavy N/S guard, bone scales and brass pins. All comments welcome Thanks for looking.

Heavy Duty is right :D is that guard 1/2" thick? Is the handle hidden tang with pins?
Thanks guys. It's a heavy duty one weight wise too. Terry, the guard is 3/8" thick. It's full tang with pins. Here's a pic when I had it profiled.

Scott looks nice
but if you form that Gaurd a little
it will do wonders for it..it just looks unfinished.
it's easy to do use a round file and sandpaper strips..
just being honist with you.. other wise I like it..

Thanks for the suggestion Dan. ;) I know what you mean but the customer wanted the guard this way. I don't do many guards on knives and I'm still learning the different ways of shaping them and having fun doing it. :D

it is, I believe, my favorite blade profile. Of course, I'm in love with the "old" look so that figures...

nice knife Scott...

as long as he's paying :D

The more I look at it, the more I want one. Without the guard, though. What did that one sell for?
