hello everyone,
well.. i just deleted what i had written... so here goes again (grrrrr)
i just finished up a swrod for a customer. he wanted a heavy use handle on it for home martial arts practice.
his stipulations were; a micarta hanldle, with resin soaked ito.
here is what came out:

Handle looks good and tight, a skin builder for sure! You provided what the client wanted.:thumbup:

What steel did you use. It came up real nice! And the handle looks bullet proof. I think whoever gets it should be pleased as punch.

the blade is 1080 with a hira-zukuri grind. it is about 1.5 wide and only 1/4 thick with a convex grind.. i cut through a 2" sapling with one hand.
