Hello,

I was watching some youtube videos when I came across some on the Heckler and Koch Enigma Folding Knife.

From what I can gather, they are being discontinued. The reviews were very positive.

Do you think these will become collectors items? The knife reminds me of a Kershaw Blackout with a axis lock instead of a liner lock.

How does this H&K knifes compare to a Benchmade 950 Rift Osborne Design Folding Knife?

Thanks

Other than being a faintly similar shape there's no comparison between the two. The 950 is USA made this is not. Blade steel on the 950 and the Axis lock are superior too. For the price point this would make a decent backup truck box knife...but the winner is the Rift.

Doubt these would have much collectibility. The excellent 14205/210/255 line was dropped 2 yrs ago-- little or no premium on those as yet, much better knives.

Collector knife? Most likely no.

Nice user that's affordable? Sure, why not.

The blade is sub 3" AUS8. Compare that to the 3.67" 154CM blade of the Rift and difference in quality overall like handle material, lock and so on they really are two very different animals.

If you like the Enigma and can get a good deal, By all means get it. I've been very satisfied with the HK line in general but never had that model. Just keep your expectations realistic and I'm sure you'd be happy with it.

But like I said, as far as becoming a collector piece, I really don't think so.

Best of luck!
