I bought this H&K Karma new almost 3 years ago. I have barely used it except for the occasional pocket carry, definitely not hard use. It seems the detent has failed and I wondered if someone could confirm if this model was made by Hogue? I contacted their customer support and they referred me to Benchmade??? Benchmade told me to contact Hogue. I plan to call Hogue again tomorrow to see if I can make any progress. Any information is appreciated.

Everything I read says the Karma is made by Hogue. Not sure why they would have referred you to Benchmade.

Not sure exactly what you mean by the detent failed, can you explain that more?

The blade no longer stays closed. I decided to disassemble it last night and I see that the detent ball is missing. I think I will try to repair it myself for the learning experience. Wish me luck! Thanks for the feedback.

I was able to press a new ball bearing into the liner lock. The knife stays closed again, even when I shake it. I bought these ceramic bearings from Amazon and they worked quite well. I bought an 8 pack so I have a few spare for when this one falls out.

Thanks for updating us. How hard is it to press in a new ball bearing?
It wasn't too difficult luckily. A small pair of hemostats made placing the bearing so much easier. Once in place, I pressed the liner lock flat and used the tip of my multi-tool to press the bearing in. I definitely need to buy a folding magnifier to do work like that in the future. Luckily I had the magnifying glass from my Swiss Champ! Take care!

Hogue started making knives for H&K in 2018. Earlier H&K knives were made by Benchmade.
I'm not familiar with either H&K line, but according to this article I Googled up, the knife was a new design made by Hogue:
