Heres my review on the hedgehog leatherworks sheath for the Becker BK-2 Knife.

Hers the sheath, what can i say has an opening?

It is a piece of art there's no part of it that poor finished or doensn't have something behind.

It's really confortable and won drag on nothing, i've even drive my sister to a bakery near home to see if was unconfortable that was not.

The wreng is really good and it is really fixed in place almost to tight it is hard to pull it from the sheath if you are wearing it. but you can manege it.

And having this in the field really helps.

The drain hole i can speak of has i've never got it wet...

But i can talk about the lining it's perfecr sew togheter, so tight that almost look machine made. but then you see where the "knots" are and see it's been done by hand.

Its HUGE almost too long for the blade it not too wide but too long.

But theres no drag has it fits my body just well.

It's thick has hell, make it a bit on the heavy side, but that's why i love it. That's why i love the BK-2. It's a bit less than the BK-2 with the micarta scales.

My scale only go to 8 oz or 240g so no sucess here...

Now showing it with the blade tucked in and strap opened for looks to see how the knife doesn't cut the leather when going in our out.

Now here about the ferro rods, ive used it a bit its spark qualities are the same of the light my fire, it has a longer rod but smaller handle. The handle is of really hi quality made from aluminium, and the jum cord make it stick in place really well with the help of the rivets os the strap.

If it's worth 20 bucks more than the LMF one, well the handle alone for me is worth 10 more and the other 10 bucks go to making the straps good has him...

If the sheath is worth it's price. Well I can say so has I have some leather sheaths on me and more to come from other. If he ever makes a sheath for another knife i have i will gladly sell a kidney to have it.

very nice... but so very steep....if you don't mind me asking, did you buy it new or used on flea bay? they pop up on occasion for more reasonable prices..sometimes new and sometimes not. i will add that if i had a lot of money i would probably own one too...i've just been spending my money on new knives as of late.

Got it new. Ordered it by 07/07 this year and when I arrived in the US i delivered it to my room.

Sorry bud but most people here (and I hope that i'm not speaking out of turn) appreciate the sheath but.......well there are so many leather benders here, Beckerheads even, that do awesome work; better work even. That and they are sheaths that most of us can afford. So with that said I intend no disrespect to you or the sheath maker.

Well i know about this i've ordered a pocket sheath for my 11 from skystorm. And intend to purshase another.

It's just that i wanted to share and talk about it. I'm just a huge leather lover, almost all my knifes have a leather sheath. I've just found that this was an extremely good work and needed to be shared

It's a nice sheath I'm sure, and I mean no disrespect for the maker or any consumer that buys one, but I think there are better options by Goose or Skystorm (examples, many other excellent moopants makers here) for what you're paying. The fact that I can pick up a sheath from a friend on here is important to me as well- and I'm not sure if Hedgehog frequents this forum (correct me if I'm wrong)

He is not a member indeed. I think he once was but stoped because of work there's an interview on it by e2e i think.

I know your preference for buying from a colleague first, can't argue about that.

But it's like comparing a GTR to a Ferrari. The GTR can do everything has good as or better but the ferrari will always be a ferrari.

I will not critique another persons work on a public forum unless specifically asked to do so by that person, To do otherwise is disrespectful and just plain bad taste. I like Paul, Nick and Brians' designs and dedication to their craft as well as many other makers around the world, not even counting the horde of kydex sheaths I have in a tote somewhere. I have several sheaths from each maker and many others and will be happy at any time to put my work against theirs.

I do not subscribe to the 'It cost the most so it has to be the best' point of view, Whether it's knives, guns, cars etc. Plus I hate scout carry sheaths anyway, everyone's, including mine. Ridiculous place to put a knife if you ask me but I still build 80 of the damn things a month for everyone else who disagrees with me. Which seems to be about everybody.

Ive never asked your opinion on the sheath. Sorry it was on the matter of the discussion. Later happening has i'm a student of publicity and advertising it interests me.

The coment i've made i think made it clear i've never said the "ferrari" was better it just was a "ferrari". And ive drove both when i got to las vegas on a private raceway....
