Walters (when stamped as such instead of H Walters & Sons Ltd) date from 1913 to 1973. They were all made in Hull (now known as Gatineau), Quebec which is directly across the river from City of Ottawa. Most of them date from the late 40s, 50s and 60s when owner Morley Walters had thoroughly modernized the forging process and was producing 1000 axes per day.
