Heeeelp i break my SOG Mini Pentagon !

Heeeelp i stupid, extra stupid dunce,donkey etc. break tip on my Mini pentagon ! I extraordinery dunce read a test on czech weapons magazine and have a bad, very bad idea OK i test my super sharp SOG Mini pentagon ! Go - i jabbed knife on wood regal in my room and begin locks left right left right and absolutely to left - crack ! And tip is in wood. Damned ! What happens ? My Mini pentagon was damaged ! I tackle Pup and take out the tip. It it to repair or to trash ? I have worst-case the second alternative.

Yes i´am a extraordinery dunce around the world. Yes Yes I´am !

Please, have you any advise ? I bought this knife a two years ago. Is still sharp but the tip is break. Please, help me boys from SOG ! It is breaking normal (thin of tip?, steel hard ?) or i have "happy" on one fail piece ? Hmm, i forget in USA is night

SOG uitilizes a very soft steel and rolling the edge is very easy, even while doing the most trivial of tasks. I bought a SEAL 2000 and M37 and both have been replaced by better and cheaper knives. I must ask, why does SOG use AUS 8 steel when their are so many better alternatives? Especialy when their designs are great, why do they skip out on materials?

It is my understanding that in order to get quality from SOG you must go into the higher end products like the scuba/demo. The scuba/demo is a great knife as I know someone who uses one as a dive knife and it works great in this role.

i want a scuba demo but good luck fidning one for sale in perth. if i did it would likely be about $500-$600 aussie dollars as sog knives are horrifically expensive over here
