Helen, GA: Any knife stores in the area?

My wife and I are spending a three day weekend at Helen, GA. We'll be staying in a 2 BR cabin, so no camping.

We'll be white water rafting on Friday after arriving. Are there any good knife stores in the area?

Any other suggestions for hiking, dining, places to see, places to avoid?

Nothing around there for knife shopping, I'm afraid. I've looked in that area several times and haven't found anything.

There is some nice hiking at several places within an hour's drive. Ft. Mountain State Park is one of our favorites

There is a knife maker LA Lonewolf with a shop in Demorest . it's not very far from Helen he makes nice knives and his wife does scrimshaw . LA lone wolf also makes Damascus steel. There is a knife shop or two in the Cleveland GA. area . Hope this helps have a good weekend .

Lots of beautiful scenery close by. Drive over the Richard Russell Highway and go left to Vogel Park and Suches. Lots of good trails all over that area.
