E8C62814-561B-4466-8146-F14B22772FAB.jpeg I have gathered that Helko axes do not seem to have a great reputation.

They look very nice in the pictures, but not many positive reviews, and several bad reviews.

However, their axe masks are super nice and reasonable price at 25 each. They also sent a free small bottle of axe oil and a pack of matches.

Here are two on some axes I rehandled.
The small axe is a Norlund tomahawk, and the large axe is maker unknown.

I can't say very much about the quality of their products, but I can comment quite negatively on the quality of the company.

I imagine that they are fine sheaths, but I think that you can buy equal quality much cheaper.

These are USA made masks. Please tell me where I can get a nice usa made axe mask for less money!

Harry Epstein has a few different thpes around 10-15$
Careful, its easy to spend money there..

Ben Meadows catalog carries single and double bit. I have had one of each for 20+ yrs. Not sure where they are made.--KV

It's not a bad price for a full welt mask.

I don't think these inexpensive masks from Forestry Supply are full welt.

But I think the ones from Weaver Leather are full welt. At least they used to be.

Just an update, I got a response from Westech Rigging and these Weaver Leather masks are indeed full welt. They have updated their site accordingly.

I just ordered a couple. I'll let you know. I've ordered their pulaski masks in the past and they are very well built but a little oversized.

I've recently got a couple helkos. The masks are well done. I've been pleased with the axes as well. I can't speak for their customer service.
