Helko Timber Sport Axe?

Probably better known as the Tasmanian Timber Sport Axe. Does anyone here own one? I am not looking to get into competiton with it, just to have for a user. Not terribly exspensive but I would like to hear from those that have experience with it.

Nice find -- it looks great. I would love to hear more about the hardness and the grind. It might be a good candidate to compare to the Bailey's (Tuatahi) work/practice axe

Received this reply after asking if its okay to be used for general axe chores rather than just sport: Thank you for your interest in our products! Yes, the Tasmania axe can be used in the same manner as our other axes. The same grade steel is used on all of our axe heads. Hope this helps!


I haven't pulled the trigger and got one yet, but I do like the looks of it.

That's really all that matters. Anything else you can tweak yourself.
