Hell Razor Corrugations - Why?

I am debating getting in on the Razorganzaaaa but am curious, according to the www.bussecollector.com site, the Hell Razor specs are:
Blade Length 7"
Overall Length 12.5"
Blade Thickness 0.187"

At 0.187" thick, what are the corrugations for? At this thickness I would be expecting more of a cutting blade but it looks like it would be difficult to get a good edge on the blade with the corrugations coming down so low.

One other quick question, does this on fit in a Spec Ops sheath?

blade stiffness, ease of cutting and weight reduction. (more the first two than the third)

Yes, it'll take a good edge.

It might need a LITTLE tweaking to fit the spec-ops liner, due to the humps on top of the spine.

.

These Hell Razors are so over-rated. The corrugations look silly, and have no real function. They're totally over-priced, and can hardly hold an edge. I wouldn't bother if I were you.

I agree the corrugations look silly. I only have two Busse's, one being a Fat Flat Fussion Battle Mistress (w/o corrugations). I had to buy it since I really like the feel of the Mag Fusion handles. One of the best handles I have laid my hands on.

Relative to pricing, I would argue all Busse's are over-priced but they sell fast and have a strong following.

Thanks!

Is the only difference between the Hell & Mud Razor the Corrugations?

No. They also have slightly different handles. On mud razors one slab is standard (like a slab on a standard Hell Razor) and the second is a bit thicker and flat - not shaped like magnum.

Mmmmmm... sexy mag swells on a Hell Razor!
