I prefer them also. The magnums just feel weird.

Interesting take gentlemen. I'd think that larger hands would prefer the larger handle but maybe with more "meat" in the palms, Magnum scales occupy too much space?

I've got an Axe hammer which has noticeably thinner handles and I prefer the Magnum scales in my other blades, but the Axe hammer makes up for it in having a greater handle height than my other Magnum handled Busses.

I prefer thinner scales on Busse and Kin. I have XL+ hands. I don’t mind the “magnums” Garth posted. Those are what my HR2 has on it and they feel fine.

I have a couple of handles that feel really overboard in the thickness. One is a BGASH with magnums - and liners. Thing feels like a shovel handle. It’s ergonomic enough, but boy what a handful.
