Hi, I'm currently looking for a nice all-purpose, heavy-duty outdoors knife with a blade in the 7-8" range. Between the Hell Razor, the NMFSO and the new Team Gemini Light Brigade, which one would you hogs recommend? Anyone have pictures of all three together? I see the NMFSO gets a lot of forum time, but haven't read as much about the other two models (I know the new Team Gemini just came out so that is to be expected).

As always, thanks for the help!

I have the Hell razor and the old team gemini. I think for an all around knife I would go with the hell razor simply because of how amazingly sharp it can get. The edge gets quite thin so it is not hard at all to get very sharp. It can do everything the gemini can do accept for maybe chop as well. However it will be much better in almost all cutting tasks, the choil is also very functional and allows you to choke up much better than on the TG. The TG however is a bomb proof knife if I had to pry open a car door I would pack the TG. So all around woods knife I would grab the Hell razor, all around urban destruction tool TG. however the LBTG is supposed to be thinner so it may be able to reach the hell razors level of sharp.

Of the 3 you are asking about I own the NMSFNO and the HR. For an all around I have to go with the NMSFNO. Although I don't own a TG but handled one at the show last summer, I find the TG hilt to be to small for me so I can't say anything about it as to it's ability to cut, chop etc. I am real quick to make up my mind in that if a knife is not comfortable to handle I want buy it. On the other hand if I like a knife I normally will get more than one. NMSFMO I own 4ea, and the HR I have 2ea. Personally if I am carring a knife day in day out for survival, GP use etc I'd go with my NMSFNO, great knife # for #.
