Apparently I am very succeptable to peer-pressure because as soon as Jerry posted the auction with that Hell Razor and the Spec-Ops Combat Master Sheath, I bought a Spec-Ops Combat Master Sheath to go along with my Hell Razor. I bought the long version (up to 8 in. blade) and was just wondering if anyone here knows whether or what problems I may have with that sheath.

Thanks for any help!

I just bought the same sheath for my Hell Razor, but have not used it in the field yet.. The blade fits very snug in it.. I kind of wish I would have got a leather one made, not that its a bad sheath, I would just rather have leather and a custom fit..

Hope this helps,
Jack

no..... if you dont have a heat gun..... just turn your stove burner on high, and hold the insert lip about six inches above it,,,,, rotatate a few times and then place the knife in and press with a kitchen towel

madjack,
I am having three leather sheaths made for my Hell Razor, Satin Jack L.E., and my Heavy Heart. I have the first 2 now and as soon as I get the HH sheath(maybe today), I will be posting a picture of them all dressed up.
The maker is Mike Bartol aka mt.mike I will try and add his web page to the pictures.

Ciao
Ron
:D

Someone posted that the ideal temp for kydex was 350. I'm not sure who posted this so YMMV.

I'm looking forward to seeing Ron's 'family photograph' too. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of he Heavy Heart sheath before it went in the mail. Lot of leather for those 3 sheaths :) (But zero oven time ;) )

Mike Bartol who I met on that "other forum" is doing a sheath for my Hell Razor.
Though I'm getting used to the Busse cardboard sheath it came with, I think I'm gonna ask Mike to do a sheath for the Battle Rat I just got cause the selfmade cardboard sheath I did just doesn't say class the way Mikes leather does.

hey Mike how's it goin :D

Had a guy buy a Razor and Spec Ops Sheath too Friday. Did what I sugges4ted, and it worked.

Took out the liner, put 2 layers of masking tape on the blade, put the liner into BOILING WATER for a minute or so, checking feel regularly, then insert the blade, then dunk into cold water.

Came back Saturday and was happeir than a hog in slop with the results.

I use the hot woater because it only goes to 212-degreees... It is MIKE PROOF...

I figure if 400 degrees is good, then 800 will be more gooder...

Good luck man...

"It is MIKE PROOF" I want to see that.

Hammie, you know why it's impossible to make things foolproof?

Fools are so ingenious:D :D :D
