OK, if you are not going to cut up an animal any time soon, what would you use the HR for?

I'm thinking kitchen duty. And you?

Do you mean the Hog Belly Skinner?
I think the Hell Razor has an all around usefullness, the same as a Satin Jack or Natural Outlaw.
FWIW, I would think the skinner would work great in the kitchen as well, as an ulu style cutter.
I recently read a review of Paul's Hatchet and it was used as ulu in a camp kitchen, but I think the skinner will do an even better job of this.

For me, the Hell Razor will be a useful knife for hot weather. It’s big enough to do almost anything around the camp, and light enough to not affect how much water I can carry on a red-hot day here in South Australia.

If I order the Skinner I’ll use it in the kitchen.

Tough question. The first time I saw it, I thought Safe Queen. Not much for Safe Queens. True I have a few knives that I've never used and more than likely never will. The vast majority of my knives have always been users. For the most part that's the way I choose how to buy a knife. Of course that's starting to change since coming to Busse. I'll be picking up some in the future that will only come out for me to fondle! :D

Now back to the question, right now I look at the HR and see a pure fighting knife. Since I don't go looking for knife fights... I'm looking at her more closely so I can come up with a reason to purchase her other than for a Safe Queen. Would rather buy some of the older Busses to put in the "Safe".

Yeah right, who am I kidding... like anyone needs a good reason to buy a Busse! Just the fact that it's a Busse is good enough! :D
