I promised to test them both vs each other. Only problem was that the camera didn't worked anymore. Forgot to charge the batteries . . . yeah I know . . . it's stupid.

I've got a few pics.

IMO the SFNO is the better all round camp knife. We used both knives to make each side of a shelter. The SFNO chops better then the HR. IMO the weight of the HR wasn't to heavy enough. I like em heavy
The shelter was still in construction . . . Will soon post some pics where you see it's finished

Great photos
good job on the shelter, looking foreward to seeing more!
I dont own the SFNO but the HR has really impressed me. It my favorite knife I own.

I really appreciate your pics and info Jurt! The SFNO is what brought me to Busse in the first place (and someday I'll own one). I've always felt that it was the perfect knife for outdoor work. I have wondered about the weight comparison with the HR, and as I would have guessed, you answered. Nice work on the shelter too. It's raining here, I need to get out for that kind of exercise soon. Do you end up using your shelters? If so, I like to see more pics after the use.

It took alot of work to finish the shelter and turned out really nice. It was raining that evening when we build it and were all night dry exept fot a few raindrups.
The HR couldn't compete with the SFNO.

JurT Great pics, you should invest in a Heavy Heart for choppin and camping- especially if you like em heavy....

Thanks for the response. Did you snuggle your INFI?

Don't laugh, it keeps me warm at night.;)

Are you trying to make me regret trading away that SFNO???...LOL Nice pics JurT. Just curious, since I had an HR, is that SFNO that much better of a camp knife? Is it that much heavier?

LOL...My girl can relate to that. She's come home a couple nights from work to find me in bed, on the laptop, with a slab of INFI in her spot :o

No regrets huh;) ! Nah IMO the SFNO is the better one. I like the balance of the blade more, it's a bit heavier and I'll noticed that when I was chopping with both knives. The SFNO is the better chopper because it has more weight. On the pics you can see that a Battle Rat, Custom Shop RW and 2 SFNO's are slashed in the three. My friend and I couldn't get the HR slashed in the three to stya there for pics, so when we took pics we stabbed it in the three. I've to say the HR has a far better penetration power then the SFNO. It would be really awesome if the upper swedge would be sharpenend

But for me the SFNO was better, either knife you have the are both awesome:thumbup: So no regrets:rolleyes:

Yeah I know, that's why I orderd a LEFBM:rolleyes: ;) But I'm still on the look for a LEHOGFSH

Thanks for sharing your comparison and the pictures!!
 3 sweet looking SFNO's IMHO.

Which of the 3 SFNO's do you prefer..... Custom w/ shaved butt vs. Magnum handle vs Regular handle?
I would be interested to know about the balance points and hand positions on these 3 sweet knives.

Thanks!
RWH

Which of the three I prefer . . . hmmm:rolleyes: The custom SFNO is so sweet, in beginning I found the grips of the custom too thin. I think that's because I always use the magnum one. But the more I take it in my hands the more I like those grips of the custom. The thickness of the custom and standard are almost the same but the g-10 feels much better.

But still have to test this one to see how the performance is vs the standard SFNOs. When I test this one I'll post some pics and a small review offcourse.

Thanks for the pics Jur. It's good to see what you're up to.

Dave

Thnx Dave. In the beginning when I jsut received the custom I was afraid to use it hehe. It's such a beauty! But I've more fun with this beauty when I use it, because I think it's a pity to lock it up in the safe.;)

Thanks JurT!!

That Custom sure looks nice..... be curious to hear about the use of it with the difference in the balance point.

Of course, that might just make me want one even more. :D

Hey RWH,

Ohh yeah that custom is ver nice. . .;) But I'm not sure how to meassure the balance point. I always put it on my finger and see where it is. But it's isn't very accurate like that. But the strange thing is it did the balance with the custom and others and the custom has the same balance as the others. It seems to be also heavier then the standard SFNOs . . .

Yea, sure..... rub it in..... :D

Seriously, thanks for sharing!! I wonder if the custom feels heavier due to the G-10 handle..... hmmmm. As for balance, I mean how it feels during use compared to the others with that shaved butt..... seems pretty sweet and cool to me!!
