I know this thread will get beat down...But I only own one busse by-product a scrap yard DMLE and I am looking at a new never used Hell Razor w/spec-ops sheath...I would like to know general info on this blade and if it is worth the cash+ will it make a good everyday user or is it a collector piece.thanks TTD

Fixed it for you. I can't say how good a user the HR is since I sold mine off before I could bring myself to use it. I have little doubt of it's abilities though. The last ganza would have been a great chance to get one for a good price. Now you have to face the secondary mark up. I personally won't snag one for what they are going for, but if I had my heart set on one, the prices probably wouldn't stop me. I would keep an eye out for an exceptional price though, you never know who would give a new buyer one heck of a deal.

The HR is a great knife.
It would be an excellent fighter!

At that price, if you don't take it, pass on the details!

I got an HR at a reasonable price a while ago - it's one of the most usable knives I have.

It's quite light, the point is centered and pointy, and the grip makes it really quick and agile in the (at least my) hand.

It's a knife that gives a lot of options grip-wise as well, and feels good in all of them.

I think out of all the Busses I have, I would recommend this one the most as a 'general purpose' knife. It's my general 'go-to' knife for most tasks.

Edited to add: It's also the first Busse that I have bought multiples of, something I rarely do except with Victorinox swiss army knives that I have a habit of keeping stashed all over the place.

I like the HR so much, both functionally and aesthetically, that when the Ganza HR's showed up, I had to have a couple. Even though I had no money left. Don't know yet if they will be heavy users, depends on how much I like the magnum handle over the standards on my current HR. They arrive tomorrow, so I'll soon know. Chances are at least one will be used properly. The other... might be used, might be a wall piece; my first ever as I don;t usually buy knives just to look at.

Buy it, you won't regret it, especially at that price!

Thanks ..I have until tomorrow to make up my mind to buy..if I do not I will pass on the deal..

That's kind of you (I still say buy it yourself though.)

Just to be clear, I'm sure there are plenty of folks reading here that would love to get their hands on a well-priced HR; I have enough already really so I won't be greedy and try to grab it myself. (Somewhere in my mind, something is kicking me in the head for that and yelling "just get it already!!" ;) )

Cheers,
Rick - British Pork!

Ok; I email the guy and told him I would take the HR....now the onset of Roller coaster emotions take off for me...I can not believe I gave that much for a knife or I own a Busse Hell Razor !!! thanks guys for helping me with the leap of faith..

I doubt you'll regret this.

I've got at least two of these ... maybe three. My first is an 'old beater' black. It wasn't a beater when I got it ... but it is now.

I love this thing. It's been my primary camping knife for over a year. Hardly ever needs to be steeled or sharpened. Not the best chopper or slicer, but a good compromise of both. I won't sell it, ever. :)

Be sure to get a good, solid kydex sheath for your beauty. And beat it like a red-headed step-child!

...and then take pics.

My HR was my first Busse knife I ever owned (not including my orginal Swamp Rat RatWeiler). Haven't used it yet :o , but she will get it soon enough.

It is sweet for sure. Post pics!!

Hey OP, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your kydex? I have two older std grip Hr's and two mag ganza's. I want to make the black/tan mag HR a user and would love to get good kydex for it. I have a spec ops now and it works but its too big for this knife imo. Anybody have any Okuden for a mag HR?

pete

Spec Ops fits nicely:

Which one are you using that you don't think fits?

Thanks guys....well the HR is paid for and I am giddy......I will leave this bad boy in the spec-ops sheath..I love those sheaths...and yes it will be a user for sure..no safe queens for me. pictures will be in-bound upon arrival !

Jeepnut, I have that spec ops sheath. It fits fine but I would prefer it without the pocket and the however many feet of paracord wrapped around it. I know I can take off the paracord but it looks cool and is potentially very useful. The Hr is so light and handy though that I would prefer a very simple kydex to complement the light weight of the knife itself. Not try to bash spec ops sheaths, I think they are very nice and reasonably priced to boot.

I was lucky enough to score the kydex with the HR -- one of my first Busse purchases 'way back' in 2006. It's an utterly reliable Okuden.

My black HR has standard grips.
