Love mine! I only own the hatchet, but some of the bigger models looks very appealing!Gransfors makes some nice hatchets/axes. I have several.
The way the head just glides throug branches with a small flick of the arm, and still beeing reasonably able to split a log the thickness of my upper arm lengthwise makes it my favorite item to bring! I guess the SMF is even more capable, having a longer handleI have a small forest axe. Like it a lot. Good for one or two hand use. Head design is perfection and the overall build is top shelf. Just a really good tool.

Thank you very much!I always enjoy your posts/pics... tools at work.
I'd also recommend checking out the Small Forest model. As mentioned already, all the benefits of the hatchet with a bit more handle for bigger jobs. Works equally well both one or two handed but still small enough to carry around for a day in the bush. I have a few, and have also hung some older (non GB) heads on a GB small forest haft because of its perfect size.
The Helles are great as well. My Gaupe fits my hand like a glove and is a joy to use. Also check out the Temagami, its full tang and can take a bit more abuse... but you're already carrying an axe so maybe less important.
Looks like you're already enjoying yourself out there anyway.
