Fallekniven knives are written about a lot along with basic Mora knives. Can anyone comment on Helle knives? Always thought they were one of the top makers from Scandinavia but little is commented on on this forum.

I have the Helle Earth and Jaegermister. Both are very high-quality knives at very good prices. I like the Earth model the most, but all of the Helles I've seen are great. Their laminated steel really takes and keeps an edge. I think they're every bit as durable and functional as the Fallknivens, and a bit better-looking if you don't like rubber handles.

I have a Helle Skarping--excellent all around knife, although out of production now and hard to find. Use it for hunting and camping.

The Helle quality is truly hard to beat when looking for an outdoors knife. My son-in-law has a Helle Nying that is on his belt daily. Hard to find a better made knife in terms of function, knife steel and quality of craftsmanship. For outdoor use, there is nothing sharper or slices better than the scandinavian grind with a a single bevel.

When it comes to camping and hunting I use only Scandinavian knives.

I have a fjellkniven (sp?) model and it is probably my favorite belt knife. Fit and finish are superb and it holds and unbelievable edge. I have used it for everything from butchering deer to practicing bushcraft skills.
I would not hesitate to add more Helle's to my collection.
