Does anyone know if the laminated carbon steel version is stainless flats with a carbon core? This knife has caught my eye. I want one. Anyone have one? What do you think?

I bought 2 of the 300 knife blanks and put some handles on to practice.
Mostly I've seen the reference to triple laminated stainless steel

one online seller has a reference to "carbon steel laminate "
I think there is a carbon steel model which is 301, I think this is the one you are referring to

I guess my answer is - I don't know :-)

Helle won't reveal the composition of their triple laminated stainless (at least I can't find it anywhere), but it doesn't matter - their knives are GREAT. I've several and love them; take and hold a wicked edge; come in a variety of styles and lengths for most any user. Only squabble I have is the price; they are a tad bit expensive.

I am thinking of ordering a blade blank of a temagami and putting a desert ironwood handle on it.
