Hello everyone, I guess it's been a while?

I just got my website back online after loosing the server to a serious accident some time ago. www.dalebaxterknives.com

People have been asking where I've been and what I have been doing. To answer that:
I've been making knives and enjoying life with my Wife Stephanie and son Justin-David. I fell out of the loop for several reasons. I was receiving to much publicity to fast and could not get comfortable with it, 14 articles in twelve months can really make a mountain out of a mole hill. My knives were going out the door faster than I had time to make them, well, make them the way I wanted anyway. I was allowing my better judgment to get the best of me and even though my customers did not see it...I did. You would be surprised at how much your business side takes over with 37 orders for large knives in the books, but I truly believe it's about the knives and not the maker and from here on out it's going to be that way.

I still have orders and I have worked a deal with an (undisclosed) DC based company for a folder line and have been doing really well selling knives on a satellite TV show called the Saturday Night Knife and Gun Show on Dish Network. and I will be appearing live this coming Saturday night (8-4) for an interview...if you want to see me make a fool of myself in front of 27 million people.

The way I am looking at it is simple, make "Dale knives." Stop trying to keep up with Bob and Tom and allow what I feel in my heart to make the knives that represent who I am and what I believe in. This is the way it should be and I hope you believe that? My deepest respect goes out to most of you and you know that making knives is my life.

I thought I needed to add a picture, so here is a "Dale knife."
It's 5 1/2" quilted Damascus with hammered nickel furniture. The stag has been sanded and dyed to give it a traditional look and feel. There is a thin turquoise spacer on the butt-end and I feel it adds a little something to the overall look. I hope you like it and approve?

Be safe,

Dale

Glad to have you back Dale - please keep showing us those nice knives.

Beautiful work- Good luck with the broadcast projects- would be nice to see quality pieces on the tube- anything other than the junk on HSN.
