Hello everyone.

I have been lurking for some time and researching Kukris in general. My research led me the Himalayan Imports, and then here.

I enjoy reading the posts and the reviews, and the information I gleaned here helped me make the decision to buy HI.

I reached out to Ms. Yangdu 2 days ago, first via email and then via phone. She is very gracious, and walked me through the my many questions with patience.

I decided on a Villager Utility Knife because I need one for my field gear, and she prepared the shipment even as I was trying to get Paypal to work (I never used it before yesterday).

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new blade, and my hope is that it will be the first of several.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new Villager and planning my next purchase! I will post photos of the unwrapping when it arrives!

Hi, I haven't been here in a while, but I just saw your post.
Welcome to the friendliest and one of the oldest forums around. You'll love it here.
VUKs are all a little different, depending in who makes them. But I will say that I love the ones I have. I've even given one away to a friend with a custom sheath because I trust the blade enough to allow a dear friend to depend on it in the forest. I wouldn't do that with a lesser blade.

Welcome Thunder your rollin' now! VUK is a great first choice. This is a great place to hang and BS and were pretty good at that. Ive made a bunch of great friends here and is always nice to have new folks. Enjoy your stay and im pretty sure you'll enjoy your new HI Khuk! I got at least five of them VUK's and a few hundred of the others so hopefully the fever dont hit you as hard as me but theres always emotional support right here if ya get infected bad as me!
