I needed a new money pit like I need another AR-15, nontheless, here I am. Some of you may know me from Ar-15,com, or LS2.com. My father is a retired machine shop owner, and has made about 2 dozen knives in various shapes and configurations in the last 20 or so years. Ill post some pics of these later. My WWII should be in sometime next week, and ill PP when it arrives. Glad to be here.:D

Welcome, enjoy your stay.;)

I too like a 16.5" WW2. It is in my back pack tucked in the side, nicely out of the way. It can chop bigger than it looks. I think you will be happy with it.

:)

Good deal! and welcome to the Cantina. That's a great all around work knife. I tend to prefer that size as well, over the 18" model, just for ease of carry. Please let us know how you like it.

Norm

I love the WWII. The bigger one is a bit much for the belt but I wouldn't trade that old monster for anything.

Quite a choice for your user name.

Oh yeah...welcome.

I suppose that depends on the perspective of the reader...

Quite a choice for your user name.

Indeed it is! Thanks Uwinv for bringing the name to my attention, I evidently wasn't paying as much attention as I was the other day when, "some t**d posted his spam and drivel.:grumpy:

I think some of you are jumping the gun on this one.

For those not familiar with domestic muscle cars, an "F-Body" is the General Motors code for a Pontiac Firebird or Chevy Camaro. "NO" is New Orleans I'm guessing. No ideas on "Bs", but since the S isn't capitalized, it's probably not what you're thinking.

Thanks for the viewpoint Rich. It would be really nice if this were the case and I sincerely hope it is.
However I wouldn't want a user name that at first thought was suspect to a moderator because of what we have to be on the alert for or that I had to explain.

Welcome!

The WWII is a great place to start, but you're right - it's the perfect vector for HI Khukuri Virus. Unfortunately HIKV is almost always incurable, but rarely lethal. The WWII is a good worker, and unless you have a sword collection, it won't look or chop like anything "little".

I hope the name thing smooths out - some potentially racy letters in there, but the great thing about letters it they can be used to represent lots of stuff. The mods are skeptical because that's their job. They keep the trolls from gnawing off the hand I extend in friendship.

I'm looking forward to some pics of your dad's knives. (FYI, only paid members can post pictures to the forum, but last time I checked it's OK to link pics that are stored elsewhere on the web.)

Said hello to you over at AR15. Welcome here. You need to explore some different lengths and weights on your next purchases, though many around here will say that a 16.5" WWII is about perfect all-around for a khuk.

One of the "must haves" I am missing is a 16.5" Chiruwa Ang Khola. I tend to like the more sinuous martial-type khuks though...Cobras and Sirupates.

Jeff

Welcome to HI-land! Have a fun, enhoyable stay. The 16.5" WWII was my second kuk; my first was a 15" BAS. You'll like it and it won't be your last.
