  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

This is my first post here at BladeForums. I wasn't sure if I was going to join or not after finding out about the avatar situation, but I decided to give it a try nevertheless! :)

I've had a few different folding and fixed blades over the past few years and have always found something alluring about them, but it wasn't until yesterday when I bought my Kershaw Freefall that the interest seemed to really blossom out. I don't really know anything about different types of steel, but I am interested in learning about all of the different compositions, shapes, materials, handles, terms...all of those things!

Maybe I'll even purchase a membership if I end up liking it enough here.

G'day and welcome to the forums!
There is a crazy amount of information here and the members are scary knowledgeable. Stick around, use the search function, chat with people and be prepared to buy a lot of shiny pointy :)

Hi TikPandora,

Welcome to the most informative knife forum in the world. If knowing is your passion, you have found it. May I understand 'the avatar situation' as it might impede you?
