Hello this is my first post in this section of the forums. I recently was offered a couple of HI knives in trade for a knife of mine and I was wondering if I could get some info on what they are actually worth.

1) 8 3/4" Bilton 5 ounce sisu handle and the Kami is Ram Badur(sp?)

2) 15" 21 ounce British army model(its something like that) horn handle with a small crack that hasnt been filled made by Kami Sher

3) a 18" Trisul by Kami Bura with a slightly shrunk wooden handle.

any help you guys might have with this would be great.

Thanks,
Knife Geek

1)the bilton usually sells brand new for $35 at the H.I store.

2)the british army service model usually sells for $100 brand new and in perfect condition.
at the H.I. store

3) the trisul is the tricky one here as they are usually only seen here at the forum.
I had a bit of a hard time even finding a reference to go by....but quite some time ago one made by the Royal Kami Bura remained unsold at the fantastic price of $125

Bear in mind that prices often vary due to handle material ,condition and age.
Some of the more experienced forumites may be able to give you a better idea.

hope this helps.

Bilton probably isn't worth that much. They can be had for $25 or so on the DOTD.

The 15" BAS is a common pattern, but blades by Sher are desired by some. He no longer works for HI. This fact would make it easier to sell....but probably worth $60 to $80.

The Trisul is a fairly rare model. So the price on that one depends on how bad someone wants it. The price has varied from $70 up to $140 or so depending on the maker, etc.

The resale value on most of those isn't that great unless you got something really rare or unique.
