First time poster, long time lurker. I've really enjoyed the resources that are here, all the reviews and pictures and such. Consulted the forums many a time for a blade review and recommendations prior to purchase. Hopefully I can contribute some eventually.
My registration come after a both successful and unsuccessful disassembly/assembly of my Ontario Rat 1 folder. Took it apart last night to strip the coating off the blade and clip and to give both a polish. After the stripping and steel wool scour took place and reassembly was commenced, and at about 11:30 at night, the blade was still waaaay of center. This resulted in anguish and frustration. Well, up early this morning, consulted the forums a bit and it went together perfect first time! The solution was to full tighten the stop pin first. So thats the positive, the negative is I over tightened the thumb stud and snapped the bolt that holds the two sides together. Does any one out there have any ideas of a replacement, small zip tie or small bolt and nut?
