Hello, everyone.Thank you to identify what ZT0350.Thank you

It's real. I had that same knife and, for reasons unknown, they don't print the steel on the blade. The isn't white though, it's called a bead blasted finish. I like it more than black coated blades but it will attract rust more than satin finished blades because it opens up the pores of the steel.

That link did print the blade steel. Its the 2nd picture at the bottom (clip side) under the serial

Thank you, I really like the ZT0350, no writing on this to 0350 blade S30V, nothing to write strange. I wonder if you have to write this S30V? You love this ZT0350, she was easy to use you? Thank you.

Bead blasting does not open up pores in steel, it does however create many tiny craters on the surface which can more easily hold moisture which increases the opportunity for rust to form. In all honesty though, S30V won't rust, bead blasted or otherwise, if you simply take care of your knives. Just wipe down the blade when it gets wet... Its as easy as that.

You need to look on this side of the knife to see the blade steel S30v

Assisted opening helps you to open the knife fast (sorry, I don't know how to say easier)

Omw I hope I said it right

One of my beadblasted knives rusted in pocket in one working day (8 hours). None of my other finishes/steels do that.. not even carbon steel blades.

My bad. I need to get my facts straight. My 0350kw with the bead blast finish did rust very easily though but I do live in a very humid area which definitely contributes to oxidization. I have never seen any rust on my many other s30v blades.

In this pic, you can see my 0350kw doesn't state the blade steel.

Specific PH-types in sweat affect specific combinations of metals differently - Sounds like your sweat might be the Achilles heal of S30V. I sweat on my S30V blades regularly and they don't rust (then again, you're not Chuck Norris are you?).

Don't feel bad, the guy that 'corrected' you wasn't right either. The tendency for a bead blasted finish to rust has very little to do with "many tiny craters on the surface which can more easily hold moisture" and a lot more to do with surface area and some other things i don't the time, will or knowledge to explain.

I have one of the 0350KW knives out of the current batch and mine has the steel type S30V on the blade as well as SpeedSafe and Ken Onion Design. Perhaps it wasn't on the last run they had ZT do for them?

Another way to look at the "many craters on the surface" is that there are "many craters" to hold a rust preventative substance. No?

Update - Just received a knife from a forum member that was from the first run of these. It doesn't have the blade steel type on it like my newer one and it is bead blasted finish unlike my newer one that is stone washed. FYI the latest edition looks MUCH better with the stone washed finish. The older one is going into my EDC rotation.

There was a recent run of DLC coated ZT0350's that didn't have the blade steel marked either. I was told by a Kershaw CS rep. that this is sometimes done. She wasn't sure why they left it off but assured me mine was S30V.

Guess someone may have had been having a forgetful day or they were really busy and it was left off to save some time.
