Hope everything has been fine with all of you. As you can see I have been away for a while on business and came back only for a very short leave to witness the birth of my second child. I'm here for two days and gone again, It's not by choice of course.

Bill, It's unfair for you to be giving all these great bargains when I'm not around. I will submit a claim for pain and suffering and punitive damages of $10,000,000. I will also include Rusty in the lawsuit for continuing to HOG all the khukuri's you sell.

Cliff, Do you mind if I use the broken TUSK to scrape glue off of envelopes, since that is apparently all it's good for.

Will, How's that MPK working out. Have you gotten the 18 inch AK yet?

Ghost, your first impressions/judgements of certain individuals are usually correct and that pertains to a recent greivance on here. A person shouyld try to succesfully resolve a problem, rather than whining immediately without trying to resolve the problem. Patience is a virtue. Oh, and may you have a full belt for your SAW.

Your post makes me realize just how much I have missed having you around, Cobalt. I hope you are not gone too long. I got a lot of "Where's Cobalt?" email during your absence. The Cobalt specials should be here in a month I figure -- might be a little longer due to kidney surgery down at shop 1.

Hey, I really have missed you, and I was wondering yesterday ( and a lot of other times ) when we'd hear from you.

And Cobalt, I don't ALWAYS blab about what I got. My first dozen was a LONG time back. What can I say? Eat your little heart out. I say that fondly and lovingly, of course. Get back for good soon as you can. It's hard work to stay crazier than this bunch. Bill's down to telling me to take my medication only once or twice a month. Rusty

Uhhhh,Cobalt it isn't just Rusty I'm afraid that is buying al the bargains. It seems that this day-umed Indin has a full blown case of HIKV too.There ha been some others sneak in here and snatch some up to,so things are keeping Uncle busy and out of trouble.It seems that I have to restrain myself or we would be driving Uncle nuts,errr,make that more nuts.

I think Cobalt will get a lot of "hellos" on Monday. He was and is a great contributor with a keen sense of humor. Not only was he much appreciated but his opinons were valued.

Congratulations on the new arrival.

I know you already have your custom bowies on order, but I bet those kamis could make you up some custom dull teething khukuris also. It would get the young one started out right! Think about it.

Great to hear from you. Congratulations on your child! Was it a boy or girl?

I had the MPKS for a short time and did not use it very much. I sent it to Cliff so he could try it out. The handle was excellent. The edge retention was not as good as MD but the blade is probably much stronger. I'm glad I bought it and the MPKS is one of my first picks when space and weight are at a premium.

Just received my 18" Ang Khola. It seems to be an excellent knife. I can't wait to chop something up. I love the extra weight and length.

John, unfortunately it's my wife who will be doing all the work, not me. She's definitely a trooper.

7.5 pound/19.5 in. Girl.

It's great you could be there, but too bad you've got to leave again so soon. Hope both are doing well.
 
COngratulations Cobalt and as Uncle Bill said best to mother and children. I hope you can return more permanently soon but good luck while you are gone and take care.
