Hello All, I am fortunate enough to own two nice Becker's. The BK7 and the BK Extreme:D So From what I have read, there are rumors that Mr.Becker might move the BK&T line to Ontario. But I also read about him being seen at both the Ontario booth and the Ka-Bar booth at the '07 shot show, I hope he picks either one as they both are fine blade makers. I just hope he brings them back one way or another, Because I still want a Brute and a Patrol Machete;) I Would also like to see what new styles he could produce, I hope you are out there reading this Mr.Becker. You have plenty of fans here who still want more of your wonderful creations. So guys keep enjoying your
Beckers as I know I will mine.

I feel the same i also hope that he goes with Ontario or Ka-Bar!
about the only place now is ebay
Good luck W5rwu

Yep. As an avid Becker Knife & Tool user, I certainly hope Mr. Becker puts his knives back into production with somebody. And I'm sure regardless of who makes the new knives, they will be top-notch.

Keeping my fingers crossed. My BK&T knives are among my most favorite and most used.

My favorite and most numerous fixed blades are Beckers and Ontario RAT's, so you know who I'm hoping for.

I kept my eyes open for Ethan at Blade, but I never saw him. Anybody see him there?

I would be very happy if either of thoese makers picked up the Becker line, especially if they'd make the Necker again.

Any chance you would have some information to share with us poor Becker knife lovers :(

thank you
Macsturm

Ethan can not announce anything until the lawyers are done, probably still a couple of months! :jerkit:

I've been using a BK-9 HARD for the past year and a half and it has never let me down. Absolutely awsome! I have a crewman laying in the collection just in case I ever need it.

Yea, Ethan lurks here once in a while,

I talk with him regularly.
Unfortunately patience is needed for a while.
What's more, even when the "New Manufacturer" is announced, I very seriously doubt they will introduce all 10 current/previous models.
It took Camillus a long time to get that many out!!

And what about the STEEL & HEAT TREAT?????

Take my personal opinion with a skid of salt; but.........

I don't believe any currently commercialy available blade steel can compete with 0170-6C (AKA Carbon V).

Throw in the Dan Maragni Heat Treat Factor and you have a combination that is hard to beat, IMHO.

For me, this is a milestone product line in "Bang for the Buck" performance.

I see BK&T knives at close to the "old" price; I buy 'em!
Investment; who knows?
Wise buy? No Doubt! I have 2 sons who will need good steel in the years ahead, & I don't mind a few spares either! :D

Rant Off
