Hello all! I am newly registered here today and just wanted to say "Hi" and let you all know that I have enjoyed reading your posts here for the last few weeks. I finally registered this morning (procrastinator) and I look forward to discussing the many aspects of Multitools available on the market. I own about 20 different Multis, including all the major brands, and I like certain aspects of them all! I wish more companies made them like SOG so you can take them apart easily and change out tools!

Anyway, just wanted to say Hello and Thanks for all the great posts you guys (and gals?) put here! Have a Great Day! - Kevin

fool4blades,

good user name, I like it! Welcome to Blade Forums! Glad to have you along. I read the other post you had. I bet leatherman did'nt think about the screw driver not being able to go into a hole. I have been carrying the Wave and want to buy the Charge Ti, What do you think! will it be a good move?

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the welcome! I am torn about the new Charge. It has some great featured like the 154cm blade and the pocket clip, which is GREAT, but when a tool cannot complete a job I lose a little faith in it. Just seems that they could have made that bit a little longer like on their other tools. Now I am waiting for their other new tools to come out like the "Blast" and the "Kick." That is the hard part about choosing ONE Multitool for all purposes. There are good points and bad points about them all!

If the Charge had retained the longer Phillips bit, I would be carrying it right now! Maybe some day I will try it out again, but for now it will just be part of my collection! Hope this helps! - Kevin

Welcome Fool4Blades...anyone with twenty multi's is ok in my book. I have about half that and normally carry either a Craftsman Pro or a Leatherman Wave ;)

Thanks Matches! I must confess I am addicted to all types of Folding Knives, but lately have been into Multitools pretty Heavy! I just like the idea of knowing that I can handle whatever task comes my way! Guess it's the old Boy Scout thing "Be Prepared." Althought I never made it past the Cub Scouts.LOL The Craftsman is one I don't have. Who makes it for Sears do you know? What are it's Pros and Cons. Thanks again!

The Craftsman Pro is actually a Schrade ST5E and has an adjustable (slip joint) jaw which makes it quite handy. Otherwise, it is similar in design to the Schrade Tough Tool which some find too bulky. Since I've used one for about ten years, I am most comfortable with it. Happy multi-tooling!
