  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hey everyone, first post here. I've lurked a bit off and on over the years and finally decided to join. Thought I'd start with a little info about myself.

I'm 29 and live in Missouri, USA. Like most of you, I have been into knives for as long as I can remember. My first "real" knife was a knock-off SAK Classic I bought for $0.89 at Wal-Mart, probably around the age of 8 or 9. Shortly after that my dad (probably taking pity on me) gave me a real Classic, and over the years I went from that to Gerber, Buck, Kershaw, Spyderco, CRK, etc...it's the same old story we've heard a thousand times.

Currently, I own mostly Spyderco knives. My main interest has been in different and unusual steels. Current favorites include Maxamet, LC200N, Super Blue, and a few others, although I definitely won't turn up my nose at CPM S30V / 5VN or even the lowly 8Cr13MoV. All good, just different. ;)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to being a member here and getting to know some of you.

All the best,
Connor

BTW I'm fairly active over on the Spyderco Forums, under the same username.

Welcome to BF. Looking forward to seeing you post in some of the discussions.
Also...you used to have money. Haha
