So, not a super newbie to the world of knife collecting. Been at it since I was ten so a whole 15 years (yeah I know that's not a lot). Figured I would have my first post in the buck section since I'm more or less a buck fanatic. I look forward to being part of your community. And a pic for one section of my buck collection:

frost555,Looks that you have a great start on the 110's . very interesting in the history of Buck and
the start of the holding hunter.

I should start documenting my whole collection, lots of knives. But the 110 seems to be the one I always go back too, and the one I always have with me. Of those pictured, only two did I purchase myself. One was a gift on reaching eagle scout, another for BCT graduation, and one a 24th birthday present from my mother. My next however is going to be a fixed alpha hunter in S30V.

Welcome. You have a good start on a collection. Perhaps give some thought in what to focus on in my collecting. ex. Do I want to focus on just 110's or a particular year that Buck made several changes on 110's or a few years.? Good collecting. DM

Haha, that's maybe a 20th of my collection. I'm most proud of my bucks and pre taylor-brands schrades. I never gave a whole lot of thought to my collection. It was always what I liked, and what I thought I would use. As a Boyscout it was swiss army and and stockmans. Buck 110's just screamed value at me, most I found for under 30$. Then I joined the Army and found myself with a collection of Kabars and other combat knives. Maybe I'll try to document my collection tonight when I'm off work. I'll tell the Girlfriend it's for insurance purposes ;)

Edit: And my 110's are pretty random in year, never really focused on any particular. The one I'm carrying now is from 2006. Wouldn't mind a nice one from '87 though...

Im also 25, i started the same buying everything i liked. But then as time went on and funds deplete, i could not carry on the same.

So i try to stick to certain models.

This was also mentioned in the bcci newsletter that most paths in collecting start this way.

Regards
