Hey everyone, long time lurker here and finally decided to join up because I needed some advice. My fiance and I are in the process of getting married and I'm looking to liquidate some of my knife collection to help cover some of the costs. Any recommendations on the best way to sell a lot of the stuff? I was thinking of going the ebay route. Thanks for any recommendations.

You could always get a gold membership ($30/year) and sell in the exchange area. If you have a reasonable collection you will probably make that $30 back over what you would get on ebay (and support our forum).

Buy a gold or platinum membership. That is the only way to sell items here. In my opinion it's actually a better investment than say consignment or eBay. Your membership monies pay the bills and help keep the forums online. Plus there are a ton of really great people here.

Welcome to blade forums. I'm a native D.C. guy myself. Lived in some apartments on Blair road just north of where it is north Capital street. Now live in the Maryland 'burbs just north.

Thanks guys, sorry for the late reply I've been digging out of the foot of snow we got here in DC. I'll definitely take your guys advice. Sometimes I look in the closet and wonder how I ended up with so many knives.

There's also the Mason-Dixon knife collectors. They are having a show up in Hagerstown this April. May be some collectors with some money to spend on the prowl. But it's a good club to get in touch with if you think you have some knives to sell.
