Hello new guy here joined cause I have always loved a good knife but doesnt everyone. The other reason is that my favorite camp/bush knife had the handles break and I'm trying to figure out what to replace them with. First a little history about this knife I picked it up at a yard sale in Germany when I was stationed there in 99 I payed like 2 deuch marks for it came home with me. I never really paid much attention to who made it or where it came from it had good steel held a razors edge I was happy. So when I went hunting today for handle material I typed in the only name on the blade It was Case Xx ok so now I know that it is a Original v44
and all that that means. so Yes I'm kicking myself for treating it the way I have over the years.
But I still need new handles for it Any sujestions would be great. I dont really have the skills to carve new ones I was thinking about a leather/ Para cord wrap combo I will post pics when I get home thanks again
