Hey guys. Just got my first Sebenza, and so far (haven't used much yet), I love it. Obviously absolute perfect fit and finish. The knife fits my hand so well it feels like it was custom made for me. I never thought it would fit so well. I've seen in forums, and youtube videos that when getting a new Sebenza that "It doesn't feel like a $400 knife". I totally disagree. As soon as I opened the knife for the first time it just reeked of quality and I felt in my bones that it was worth every penny.

Thank you CRK. Not only do you belong in the knife world, you belong on top.

On a side note, I absolutely do NOT like lanyards. But I didn't want to lose the lanyard pin because it matches the thumb stud and looks real nice in there. I searched the forum and didn't really come up with anything. I did find a youtube video tho and ended up putting a small piece of paracord through the hole, burning the ends, and re-assembling the knife and it sticks right in there..

Anyway, here's a pic of my new favorite knife..

Do NOT say Primanti's sandwiches.. haha.. I used to work there.

They're still okay if I'm drunk.. lol

Hey I lived in Pittsburgh for 30 years, been in CO for the last 4 years. I miss them. They are great samiches n at! Although CRK's are awesome, they are not as cheap as a primanti's samich. CRK's are the finest knives I have ever had the pleasure to handle. So enjoy and use the heck out of that Sebenza

I was one of those that was underwhelmed when I got my first sebenza. After a week, I really couldn't be happier. Totally worth the hype.

Dude, you got that right.. worst bathroom ever..lol

If you avoid the hypodermic needles and sharp rusty hardware and try really hard not to step on the
Floor or touch anything or go into the room at all, it's actually not so bad.

Congratulations on your first Sebenza. She's a beauty. I know what you mean about not wanting to take the lanyard off because the pin matches the thumb lug. I puzzled over that too when I got my first Sebenza (in the end, I just took it off anyway :grumpy:). I think you found a good looking alternative.
Enjoy the knife, and welcome aboard!

I was also like you when I first handled my Sebenza. Completely overwhelmed by the quality and fit n finish. I can see how some people could be underwhelmed when shelling out
$400 on a not so flashy knife but when I handled the Sebenza I could just tell it was a special knife. And as my knife collecting career continues and the more knives I get to handle it
just makes me appreciate the Sebenza even more. Just a simple and timeless design executed to the to the highest standard in knife making.

Congratulations and the only way to really appreciate a sebenza is to use it all day, take it apart when your done, clean it and get it ready for the next day. Awesome is really an understatement for what you have there.

Hey I had another question figure one of you guys (or gals) might know..

I see alot of pics of Sebenza's where the thumbstud looks neon blue (like the lanyard pin), but mine is kinda purpleish.. it like transitions from purple at the top to blue at the bottom. Is that new? or normal? I like it, but to be honest, I'd probably prefer it be all blue like the lanyard pin..
anyone know?

I have seen both kinds.. and I thought maybe it was just luck of the draw as far as how the anodizing goes..

The anodizing wears off over time as you use it. It's possible that it is changing colors.

But I don't know. I'm color blind so I couldn't tell you for sure.
