Hi all. I just registered with BF and would like to introduce myself. My name is Rick and I live in Black Mountain NC - originally from Deland FL. I'm a husband and father of two - a 14 y.o. stepson and a 4 y.o. daughter.

Here are some of my current knives -

Welcome to BF, may your collection grow as your bank account dwindles. I know mine has taken a beating over the years.

Welcome. You're about 50-60 miles east of where I grew up in the Sylva/Franklin area. I sure do miss the south.

Since you are now a resident of Black Mountain, you really need to read "One Second After" by William Forstchen. Welcome to the forum and you have a good start on knives. Nice area. I stop at the Denny's there off the interstate for breakfast from time to time.

Fantastic book. He has just come out with the sequel to it as well. My wife works at Montreat College where William Forstchen teaches. I am going back to school there in the fall and hope to take some of his classes.

Waiting on book three which he promised in book 2 to be published only a few months after that one (or something like that). Didn't happen.

Op, you're right down the road from me. I live right outside the west end of Asheville.
