Hi Im new here first post. I just received myCRKT Natural today, its a very nice knife, except for one problem,it is extremly stiff to open with one hand on the thumbscrew. I loosened the pivot screw to a point where I could open it,but the blade then has to much side play when locked up.I called CRKT and they said to send it back for replacement. So I will see what happens? Anyone else have this problem out of the box? the pivot screw was so loose I would have surely lost if I tried to use it that way. Anyhow ill let you know how it works out when its returned. sabre67

Maybe you just haven't gotten used to opening knives with the thumbstud and it seems stiff because of that?

You could also use a lubricant. My favorite is Shooter's Choice FP-10. Doesn't evaporate, doesn't leave gunk, is super fast, and doesn't smell really bad.

No I am familiar with knives this is not my first spring assist, this one definatly has some problems, that is why i sent it back.Hopefully they are giving me a replacement, thats what i was told by their customer service dept. thanks for the reply tho

Welcome to BF sabre67.:D I think you will find it to be an informative and friendly place to visit. When you get the replacement I would sure love to hear a little review of it. It looks like a lot of knife for the money!
