Hi, I'm new here. I recently caught the knife collecting bug. Most of my collection consists of folders. I'm still learning about different materials and such. Everything shown here is carried. I appreciate the beauty and form, but for me, knives are functional and should be used.

Great set of knives. wide variety! If you are looking to expand try the Pay it Forward thread. Everyone just trades with each other and there's a lot of cool items for grabs.

excellent collection, good luck in the expansion!

btw how do you like the albatros

Thanks! I really like the albatros. It's an excellent slicer and it's built like a tank. My only complaint is how sharp it arrived. A few passes across the strop and all is well.

Could I get some details on the folding knife with a wooden handle and bail type loop on the bolster? The first vertically displayed knife from the left beside the navy blue sodbuster.

Sure, The knife is made by Otter-Messer in Solingen, Germany. The blade is a C75 carbon steel. The brass lever is a locking mechanism. It's a pretty simple design and it's what caught my attention to begin with. When it's pushed forward it will unlock the blade. The handle is made with bubinga wood, which Is usually found on high-end string instruments.
