Hello, How do you make Pivot Pins??

Wassup everyone, i'm new here.

I love designing knives-especially folders, but there has always been this question i wanted to ask. How do knifemakers make there own Pivot Pins, what machine do i need-a lathe, or what else. Thanks. BTW, where can i buy good quality pivot pins.
