I have bark river Bravo 1 and few other tactical looking knives....What do you recommend for hunting was thinking of esee knives or fallkniven......

for fishing you should check out spyderco's salt line, i have the tasman salt and i love it! iv never used this for hunting but if your thinkin about esee checkout the izula.

You should really consider Mora knives. The clipper series and the craftsman series. They are fantastic knives, all come in either good carbon steel or good stainless and, best of all, they cost about $15. Their sheaths are rudimentary plastic and that's a bit of a bummer but the knives themselves are very highly thought of on this and every forum I've seen. They are available from many internet vendors. They are made in Sweden where good knives are part of the tradition as is fishing and to a lesser extent, hunting.

I think you should get a couple of Mora's. For fishing get the Sandvik stainless models. I am also a very big fan of Spyderco products and I don't think you can go wrong with any of their products.

I wouldn't go into the woods without my Spyderco in the pocket and one of my Moras on the belt or in the pack.

Honestly, as far as hunting knives go, I don't think you can do much better than buck.

As for fishing, a fillet knife from walmart will get that job done just fine. As for just a general around-the-water knife for cutting line, etc. the Spyderco Salt I would be my choice.

i WAS GOING TO GET COUPLE OF MORA KNIVES BUT WANT SMTG BETTER........FOR ALL AROUND SURVIVAL AND HUNTING...MAYBE SOME BARK RIVER OR FALLKNIVENS...

if you do alot of fishing you should get a leatherman ps4. i keep it in my tackle box and have used the crap out of it. for hunting i used the kabar #1233 skinner. of course you can skin with any quality knife, its more of a skill level.

and get a few moras, at least three.

as for all around survival/ hunting i would buy a Becker bk9( it comes with a small knife that is great for emergency hunting needs. the kabar Potbelly is an awesome knife too, and it comes with a small knife call 'piggyback' which it supposed to be an extremely great skinner, and all around game needs.

pay a few more dollars & get the ferhman shadow scout. these knives will do it all & last the rest of your life.

When I think of great hunting knives (I really have no clue about fishing knives), I think of custom makers. The one I would get if I wanted a hunting-only knife would be a bob dozier.

as for bark river, they are also great hunting knives ... not sure what to tell you... go to these pages and pick whichever style and handle that you think suits you.

You mention survival, but you already have a bravo-1, which is a great survival knife. If you are saying that you want something that is a survival knife that is more towards a hunting knife, I was looking for the same thing a while back and I went with a swamp rat howling rat LM. I haven't put it through the paces yet, but was immediately impressed in all possible ways with it when I got it in my hand. But if I already had a bravo-1, I would just stick with that.
