Hello bladeforums, glad to be here. I just received my first HI blade... a 15" AK, made by Bhakkta kami, almost too pretty to use. It is a such a beautiful knife, and will be multi-use... can't wait to take it backpacking and trim my trees with it! Here is a pic:

Looking forward to getting more HI blades and participating in the forums when I have the time!

Cheers,
Grant

welcome to the family, I am sure you will not regret getting into the best knives available in the world for the price

Welcome to HI, you picked a fine first khuk which will lead to more................. Nice background as well, looks like a m44 mosin??

I just received a Bhakkta AK Bowie this week as well,, 15" with a nice thick spine and I know what you mean by too pretty to use, the mirror finish is superb!
This is only my second but many more to come. Heading deep into the Mineral King mountains this weekend for some heavy field use, can't wait.
Really liking the handle on your, nice grain. Great choice on some of the world finest craftsmanship. VIVA OLD WORLD!

Thanks everyone... and it is definitely not my last, I have a Garud AK on order and impulse-bought the 17.5" Chainpuri blem from yesterday :) I'm done buying for the immediate future, but can see building an HI collection! I've never been one to spend much $ on knives, but HI is the exception.

That is an M31/90 Mosin, BTW.

I am really liking the blade. It is really nice to look at, I understand the reluctance to use it.

Bhakta can really do some "fullers" can't he?
