Just wanted to say hello and THANK YOU for the resources and knowledge on this forum.

I've been interested in knives for most of my life (and I'm nearing 50) and I had finally decided to pick up a couple of Randall Knives this Christmas. My Google searches led me to information here on the Randall 17 "Astro" and I've decided to pick up one of these (along with a 15 Airman).

I have a fun, ragtag collection and it was GREAT to hear from members here that Randall is still an exceptional blade.

I look forward to being a member here! :)

I'll probably take a photo or two when the knives arrive. I've really wanted a Randall for as long as I can remember and the time just seems right.

I really look forward to seeing what people here have and what's going on in the industry. :)
 
The Randalls are here and I've added a photo of each and a shot of my small collection. :)

The Randalls have something about them that is pretty awe inspiring. I've had several nice knives in the past but the Airman is really the knife I'd grab if I was leaving the comforts of civilization and REALLY needed a knife! Okay, I'd grab more than one, but it would be the first! :D
 
Nice Randall knives! Always wanted one. Knew a few buddies who had them that served in the Gulf.
 
Thanks Vanguard! It has taken me a LONG time to finally commit to a couple of Randalls and I'm very impressed with what I'm seeing. Doesn't seem like they're overly popular here though! ;)

Anyway, I'm definitely learning about popular current makers and the drama involved with a few topics. :D

If it wasn't for the waiting time, I'd be all over Randall knives like white on rice.
 
I decided to pay the premium for these and since I like them so much I figure that I'll probably go ahead and Oder another from Randall. Then again, I'm discovering so many great builders here, who knows what I'll end up with. :)
