need some advice . On a good small steel to take with me in my hunting pack? been looking at a victorinox pocket steel for tuning up my knife in the feild .Any experince with that ? Or any suggestions on other sharpeners steels will be helpful. Looking for compact size preferably nothing bigger then 6 inches OAL thanx

Are you sure you want a steel? I think I would want something that can actually remove some metal, such as a crock stick.

If you are sure you want a steel, here is a small one from a good company.

Some of the first products on this page would probably suit your purposes if you wanted to remove some steel.

If you wanted something ceramic, I would go with Spyderco, their ceramic sharpeners can be found here.

yes a steel would be sufficent ,as ive got a stone ,just need some thing to tune it up when field dressing . thanx for the links
